GREASE, OIL, FATS SEPARATORS

Grease and oil separators are designed for wastewater treatment applications with elevated concentrations of vegetable fats, animal fats, oils, and residues generated during food preparation and industrial processes. Their primary function is efficient grease and oil removal from wastewater before discharge into the sewer system or further treatment stages.

In addition to grease and oil, wastewater often contains other contaminants such as food residues, suspended solids, and traces of dishwashing detergents.

APPLICATION
WORKING PRINCIPLE

In accordance with legal and technical requirements, grease and oil separators are commonly installed in:

restaurants and catering facilities
slaughterhouses and meat processing plants
butcher shops
fast food preparation facilities
mineral oil processing plants
margarine production facilities
roasting and food processing industries
industrial facilities generating greasy wastewater

Our grease and oil separators are designed and manufactured in accordance with SRPS EN 1825-1 and SRPS EN 1825-2 standards, fully complying with all requirements for grease separation systems.

Units are manufactured from pressed polypropylene (PP) sheets with high chemical resistance and supplied in a containerized design, ensuring long service life, resistance to aggressive media, and simple installation.

The systems include:

integrated sludge chamber for solid contaminants
gravity grease and oil separator
grease accumulation and separation zone
sampling chamber

The operating principle is based on gravity separation of grease, oil, and other contaminants from wastewater. As water passes through multiple chambers and overflow sections, fats and oils are progressively separated, while treated water continues toward the sewer system or the next treatment stage.

Maximum efficiency is achieved when grease and oil separators are installed upstream of domestic wastewater treatment plants, where they significantly improve operational stability and increase the efficiency of biological wastewater treatment systems.
